Other Web sites with more information and background regarding Jose Eduardo Lopez and the memorials and projects on their behalf:

In Honduras, Acceso Internacional (Canadian organization) established education projects in memory of José Eduardo Lopez. Eduardo tried to overcome poverty and improve education and health for the people, and especially children of his country.

Ghent MemorialINTERNATIONAL ACCESS commemorated the 20th anniversary of his death in 2004 by creating projects that reflect the original vision of Edward and efforts.

In Ghent, Belgium, in 1996, Amnesty International Group # 160 and the Honest Artistic Movement supported financially by local, regional and federal government, erected a monument in honor of human rights to honor José Eduardo and "the disappeared" around the world.

"In 2010 while visiting Ghent, Belgium, I met with Marf, the sculptor and artist who designed and built the Human Rights Monument in memory of Eduardo and missing persons around the world. He donated our family the small model of the monument and also gave us permission to use the photo of the monument as our logo.

Marf website is: www.marf.be

Our family is still closely connected to group 160 of Amnesty International in Ghent. I am sure they will appreciate when they see the website that the creator of the monument, Marf, is acknowledged for its wonderful contribution to us and to the community of Ghent. "-. Nora Lopez
